What is Fallen Petal AU?
Fallen Petal AU is a Steven Universe alternate universe written by Rasperry_Radiation mainly on tumblr. Instead of completing her plans to create a dramatic *Death of a Diamond* to end the war, she instead staged the death of the Rebel Leader Rose Quartz but her identity is revealed and she continues to lead the Crystal Gems – although not really rebels any more, pardoned of their crimes against Homeworld. This enraged those who supported the real cause and created a split-off group of Rebels against Rose and the other gems, led by who she betrayed most… Bismuth.
The Crystal Gems, conducted by the powers of Homeworld itself at the hands of her son has to find a way to prevent the rest of humanity being involved and to resolve gem conflicts and bring peace before it destroys them all.

They say they are but they are a more informal colony. Pink had gained full authority over the planet before she gave up her form for Steven to be born.
Does steven know about the Diamonds?
Yes, he was around them a lot during his formative years and infancy, constantly visiting the Diamond Ship to play with Spinel – having bever been abandoned due to Pink relinquishing her to the Diamonds before Steven’s birth. He doesn’t see them as much nowadays for a good reason.
If the Crystal Gems aren’t Rebels, who are the Rebels?
The antagonist of this AU are a troop of gem soldiers left from the Gem War. Led by Bismuth, Orange Spodumene and Fire Coral they are a formidable force on Earth’s surface. They try to break into the temple to destroy Pink Diamond, sure of the fact she is using a human’s body to hide from them thinking it will stop their attempts to shatter her. They want to collect their friends – be them corrupted or shattered – and fully remove the Diamond Authority from Earth.
